As the legislature continued the 83rd regular session, the voter registration numbers for May brought three interesting changes for the Republican Party.
Both major parties continued to lose voter share across all demographics tracked, however, the shift in Republican numbers brough three interesting changes:
Non-Partisan voter share surpassed the Republican share in Washoe County for the first time making them the largest bloc in the county.
The combined voter share of Non-Partisan and minor party surpassed the GOP share in Nye County.
The gap between the combined voter share of Non-Partisan and minor party over the Republican Party grew to almost a full percentage point lead.
With Non-Partisan taking the lead in voter share in Washoe County, they are now the top group of voters in the two metropolitan counties and among voters 18 to 54 years of age. Only in the rural counties and among voters 55 years of age and older is that not the case. In both those however, the share of Non-Partisan grows monthly.

With the legislative session now over, how will the bills passed, bills that died, bills signed by the governor, and bills vetoed impact registration leading up to the next election?
